Purchase Cadillac Replacement Belts

Cadillac replacement belts should be easy to find. If your Cadillac is older, try searching online auto parts suppliers. They are more likely to carry stock for older vehicles.

Cadillac Replacement Belts: V-belts

The serpentine belt wasn't invented until 1979, so any car built before that (and for quite a few years after) will use V-belts instead. A V-belt can power one or two peripherals, like the A/C and the alternator. Some cars will have multiple V-belts to accommodate all the accessories. If you are replacing a V-belt in a car with more than one installed, remove the front belt first and work toward the back.

Also, always replace all of them at the same time, whether they all appear to be worn or not. There are two reasons for this. One is that belts stretch with use. Belts stretched to different lengths that are meant to fit over the same pulleys may not have equal tension. This will result in a looser belt that can slip or detach. The second is that it makes it much easier to keep track of how many miles are on the belts.
