Look For Acura Belts

Acura belts and hoses, like filters and fluids, need to be replaced regularly to ensure that your car stays in good working order.

When to Replace Acura Belts

First, check the car's manual to see when the manufacturer recommends changing the belts. It could be anywhere from 30,000 to 90,000 miles. Relying solely on this method, though, is dangerous. A good visual examination of the belts at regular intervals is imperative. Whenever you have the hood open, take a look at the belts. You're looking for frayed edges and cracks. Also check to see if the belts look worn or particularly shiny. If you see any of these signs, replace the belts, whether it's been the recommended number of miles or not.

When buying new belts, make sure that you're ordering the right parts for your Acura. Look to see if the part is listed as being specifically for your model and year. Just because it says it will fit Acura cars doesn't mean it will fit your Acura car. Some online stores have an option to search for parts by car, not by part type, which makes this much easier.
