Jaguar Replacement Belts Are Online

Online retailers often carry a wide array of Jaguar replacement belts, both OEM and aftermarket, for a number of popular models, including the iconic XJ6.

The Jaguar XJ6 was the company's last car to have been influenced by the company's founder, Sir William Lyons. The sedan (or saloon, as they are called in Britain) has gone through several permutations over the years ending with the final XJ6 incarnation in the mid-1990s.

Jaguar Replacement Belts for the XJ6

Jaguar XJ6 models built before 1988 use V-belts, while those built between 1988 and 1994 have either V-belts or serpentine belts. After 1994, they only used serpentine belts. If your Jaguar uses V-belts, you may need more than one. If it uses a serpentine belt, there will probably be only one, although some luxury vehicles, like the BMW, have two.

When replacing V-belts, always replace all of the belts at once, even if one of them doesn't appear to be worn. This will ensure even wear over all the parts and makes it easier to keep track of the number of miles on them. When checking your belts for wear, don't forget to examine the underside of the belt, as well as the top. Damage to either side can lead to breakage.

BeltsNHoses.com sells new aftermarket serpentine belts for the XJ6, the S Type, Vanden Plas and more. To see our complete list of parts for the XJ6, from 1969 to 1997, check out our product search.
